old roids, old roads

A few years ago I bought a big batch of untainted polaroid film. Since then I haven’t bothered ordering any more because of the highway robbery involved in finding film that hasn’t expired five years ago or more. Here are a few of the polaroids from that batch, taken between 2006 and 2008.

Toronto, the morning after Mikee, Danny, Braeden and I decided to drive to Vancouver Island instead of San Francisco in the summer of 2006. We got on the road moments after this was taken.

This is where we stayed in Thunder Bay. The Stanley Cup was in town that day. We didn’t see it.

Danny, somewhere in Saskatchewan.

Somewhere near Jasper, Alberta.

Braeden and the Athabaska glacier.

This sign warned people not to run on the glacier because this is what can happen if you do. There were also signs depicting people trapped and freezing at the bottom of a crevasse.

Swim break.

A blurry trampoline session at Matty’s place in Nelson.

Caden and Annie at Paul’s house. Note a young Paul manning the makeshift drop-in ramp in the reflection of the window.

First winter in Montreal.

St. Marc Apartment, Fall 2008
