anyone who has been around me in the past couple of weeks knows i have a new obsession.
muji is essentially a japanese ikea with less colour and a more minimalistic design. they sell everything from furniture, appliances and loft apartments (that look like they’d be impossible to make messy) to clothing, notebooks, little wooden toys, food and music.
i don’t want to write about their wonderful products too much. rather, you should just check out the sites (us or eu, jp or com) and click around. there’s a lot of affordable and desirable stuff in there. my orders were extremely quick in arriving (only 2 days!) and i am very satisfied with them. why not buy something, too?
now for the music. hopefully i will have the complete muji cd collection soon, and of course will share it as a christmas gift to my friends here at fyours. i’ve normally always been able to find what i set out for (and more) in terms of music on the internet, but i must say this is probably the most difficult, complicated search and download i’ve ever done.
each muji cd is numbered and features a traditional style of music from various cultures. for example: BGM8 features traditional musics from sweden, BGM12 paris musette and BGM14 celtic musics from southern england. they play them in the stores. they’re wonderful, educational and make for easier listening than even the sims’ soundtrack.
so i’ll list out the various MUJI BGM compilation albums below. the links will become active as i complete my collection.
for reference, most of this music is 320kbps mp3, complete with album artwork, collected and tagged.

i’ve had a few people mention in the comments section that the zip files above aren’t opening properly. if you’re having the same trouble, please try downloading the files found right here
they’re in a .7z format, which is similar to .zip
